With his outstanding academic achievements and persistence, he went on to fulfil his dream of becoming a dentist and secured admission to his preferred residency program. Returning to Savannah allowed Dr. Smith to contribute to the oral health and overall well-being of the community he’s always wanted to call home.
Dr. Smith’s career took a pivotal turn during dental school, marked by a transformative “aha” moment on a life-changing trip to Peru. There, he dedicated his skills to providing essential dental care to remote communities. In recognition of his total commitment to delivering exceptional care, a significant milestone in his academic journey was receiving the Academy of General Dentistry award for clinical excellence during dental school.
