Dr. Pate Smith, originally from Butler, Georgia, has been a proud resident of Savannah since 2017. His journey to dentistry reflects unwavering determination by overcoming initial challenges to secure a spot in dental school. With his outstanding academic achievements and persistence, he went on to fulfil his dream of becoming a dentist and secured admission to his preferred residency program. Returning to Savannah allowed Dr. Smith to contribute to the oral health and overall well-being of the community he’s always wanted to call home.
Dr. Smith’s career took a pivotal turn during dental school, marked by a transformative “aha” moment on a life-changing trip to Peru. There, he dedicated his skills to providing essential dental care to remote communities. In recognition of his total commitment to delivering exceptional care, a significant milestone in his academic journey was receiving the Academy of General Dentistry award for clinical excellence during dental school.
Dr. Smith takes pride in the support he receives from multiple Habersham offices and a collaborative team that readily assists whenever needed. Working alongside friends who share a commitment to outstanding dental care, he finds joy in the camaraderie and contributing to the community’s well-being. The Personal Side
Alongside his loving wife, Morgan, their two wonderful children, Boaen and Hayes, and two canine companions, Fletcher and Baker, Dr. Smith has deeply rooted himself in the Savannah community. Dr. Smith is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and golf, and immerses himself in the vibrant cultural scene by attending live music events and sports games.
